Went to see ComedySportz last night in downtown Portland. Wow, that was pretty funny! (If you don't know what ComedySportz is, it's like Whose Line is it Anyway?, and it has nothing to do with the subject of sports).

Speaking of sports, the Angels won last night! Go Anaheim!

Happy birthday Lissa! :)
I have a ton of work to do. Thank goodness Fall Break is rapidly approaching.

The Angels beat the Twins today. I'm so excited for them. My dad stood in line to get tickets for the World Series, in the case the Angels win the ALCS... but of the 20,000 hoping to get tickets, he was not one of the lucky 5,000. Shucks. I would have flown home had we obtained tickets.

Computing is starting to become really challenging... but all the better... I like a good challenge.

I went to a leadership discussion tonight. Amazingly, I knew most of the other "leaders" who were selected to participate in the focus discussion. I know I came in thinking I would focus solely on studying, but as it turns out, if no one else is going to do it, I guess I'll have to. Darn my addiction to involvement.

Perhaps Gods live life a year ahead of mortals. They know fate and what will happen because to them, it’s all history. We cannot look back in hindsight and change things that happened before, but the Greek Gods know what has happened, is happening, and will happen. In that case, it’s not that you are “fated” to do something. Rather, you can do whatever it is that you want, but once it is done, it cannot be changed. The Gods, living in the future, know that you chose to do that a year before humans catch up to their time, and because it cannot change, the same happens. Thus explains why the Gods would have any sense of fate. Prophets may be able to see the future as well; as they live in the future with the Gods; their spirits live in the future, whereas their bodies live in the present with mortals.
