Robert Levin is in town, playing with the Portland Baroque Orchestra. He did a lecture on campus last night about improvisation in Mozart's music. Wow, he is amazing at the piano! I found the entire presentation so interesting, that I even missed the Hum Play for it (I'm bummed about missing the Hum Play, but Rob Levin was worth it!). At the end, he played a fantasia based on snippets of themes from the audience. He built the entire fantasia on my theme in Cb major. Hahah. Too bad Mozart didn't write anything in Cb! He autographed my two-bar piece of manuscript with, "For Beverly, who tormented me in a key that Mozart never used as home base. Best wishes, Rob Levin." I'm going to see him perform on Sunday with the PBO.

Here is a list of all the non-power nuclear reactors in the U.S.: http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/list-nonpower-reactors.html.

I have four check-offs left to go! I just passed my nuclear physics check off tonight. I have to go back to the Reactor at midnight tonight for a start up. Wahoo!

Wahoo! I passed my Nuclear Reactor Practice Exam with a score of:
A: 17/20
B: 19/20
C: 18/20

Test in 14 days exactly! Wish me luck!

I went to a Josh Groban meet and greet this weekend. Also, Fawntia, Candy, Helina, and I did an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday. I know where I'm living next year -- Steele East 218 in the Sub-Free dorm. Lately, I've been thinking about maybe doing a music major or a music/math interdisciplinary major. I don't know yet. Orchestra concert was last night. It's really depressing right after concerts.
