I just got back from Candy's house in Arcadia. We watched a whole bunch of movies, and I got to meet her friend Leo. Leo goes to the Wharton School at UPenn (pretty smart guy). He seems really nice; too bad I couldn't stay for the barbecue today. Candy's family is really nice, too. Her mom made lion's head for dinner. (And I thought that was something only my mom made!) They took us out for shaved ice, and they took us out for dim sum. I had so much fun. I think Candy should come and visit me here in Anaheim.
By the way, if anyone wants to see Drew Tretick play at Downtown Disney, he'll be there tonight and tomorrow night from 6-10pm. I recall that one time we went to the Wolfgang Puck's at the Block right after Academic Decathlon... and Marc stood in a long line to get an autographed poster. Anyone else remember that? :)

It's so hot in Southern California. I remember now why I wanted to go north for college. As for now, I found something to do: filling out applications so I can get a second job. I applied to the Krikorian Metroplex in Buena Park (free movies for myself and one guest if I take that job), Disneyland, and the Build-A-Bear. We'll see how things turn out. I need a really flexible schedule that can work around my DSC job. By the way, guess who is also teaching at DSC this summer? JOEVANIE! Yay!
Today, I'm going to go watch The Matrix Reloaded with my dad. Then, tonight, I'm going to drive to Arcadia. Hmm... maybe I should wash my sister's car as a "thank you for letting me use it." Oh yeah, and GO RUBEN! I'm glad he won; he's a really good singer.

I didn't realize how little there is to do in Anaheim, until I stopped being involved in activities. It seemed so fun-filled because I was always going to that band rehearsal or that mock trial practice. I guess the summer will look more productive when my job at DSC starts. Till then, I guess I can just unpack and do some catch up reading. I need to read Lissa's list of good books. Forrest says that I should read The Power of One before I read anything else. Maybe that's what I'll do. If you're in town, give me a call and we'll do something fun other than unpacking and reading.
