Last night, I watched two movies (I determined that if I stayed up late, I'd wake up late, and then I wouldn't have to worry about the anticipation of getting my IB scores -- as it turned out, I stayed up till 3, but I woke up at 7 anyway, and kept up a sleep-wake-sleep-wake pattern for three hours... so much for trying to avoid anxiety). Airplane! wasn't that bad of a movie. Funny in a before-our-time kind of way. I also saw Shrek, which wasn't as good as I had expected. Everyone told me it was a must-see... I didn't really get that feeling when I saw it. From this, I have determined that the "enjoyability" of a movie depends on two things 1) the people with whom you see the movie and the lesser bearing, 2) the actual quality of the movie. It's weird how some chick flicks are completely BAD when you rent them and watch them alone with your bon bons, but are completely GREAT when you go see it with bunch of friends (especially guys because they HATE chick flicks! haha! Just kidding!). Anyway, back to cleaning my room...

I know, I know, a "D" in TOK isn't that becoming... but hey, if you have to cut back in effort somewhere, cut back where it hurts the least. I'll learn Theory of Knowledge when I feel like learning it.
The weirdest thing was that my clock said 10:25, so I was going to go online to wait for it, but then I realized that _my_ clock was a half an hour slow... so it really was almost 11:00am! Anyway, bad sign, good sign, who cares? I passed IB!!!

So, someone gets at 750 on an SAT II, then another 750 on an SAT II... the third, not as good as the first two, but still about 700. "You can go wherever you want to go for college! You've got it made!" BS! Don't believe it when people tell you this. You can't go anywhere you want to go! You have to abide by the rules set by the big guys. I worked my butt off in high school! 406.5 credits! I could have almost graduated twice over! But the Ivies don't care about my 406.5 credits, nor my straight A's, nor my 750-750-670, nor a 770 in math (let's not talk about the verbal score... but who cares?! I made it quite clear I wanted to major in math... and besides, with a verbal of 620 [my PSAT verbal was substantially higher... more of a 71] and a writing of 750, you've got to wonder...), nor a bazillion clubs, nor a bazillion volunteer hours, etc. etc. etc... Don't tell me that one thing like a silly SAT score will get you anywhere, because it won't... even if you have a 1990 on your SAT's, there are no guarantees. I'd like to meet those admissions people at the places that rejected me... I'd like to meet them one day when I have become a somebody. I know it probably only pleases them more that I still care... but it is only motivation to go farther... Hey, if we all got what we wanted, we'd all be lazy slugs.

Well, I guess since no one really reads this, I can tell the truth now about things! Yay me!
I'm in the middle of cleaning my room now. I hate spiders. Why do spiders have to exist?! Anyway, there was only one spider in my room. I hate spiders. I need more of those crate things to put my schoolwork. Why am I keeping this stuff again? I think I should just "disappear" for a week, and maybe hire someone to go into my room and burn everything. Then, I can start all over again from scratch. New room, completely empty, only furniture, paper, and pens. Maybe some clothes. Well, back to work...

I taste like Bread.
I am a staple in almost everyone's diet. Friends like me are a complement to any other friends I get on with almost everyone, remaining mostly in the background, but providing substance when it would otherwise be lacking. What Flavour Are You?

Thanks to Phillip, I got a hold of this wonderful site called enetation. So, I was able to attach this commenting system to my blogger account. Yay! And it was so simple too! I encourage all you blogger people out there to go to this site and get a comment feature of your own! Well, the point I was trying to get to... can whoever is reading this please post a comment or something so I know who has been reading my journal? Thanks! :)

I saw Minority Report today. It was worth the trip to Downtown Disney to go see. I heard all the great reviews it was getting from Gary and Kunal and whoever else I heard it from... it wasn't that spectacular. Some of the things didn't seem that realistic (like people who can see the future, and the fact that they can see things "happen," even though they won't _really_ happen. How can you have a choice to carry out your destiny or not?! On the plus side, I did enjoy that it was a thinking movie. That was pretty clever... to have an attempted murder, then to commit the same crime, so that the visions only register as "echoes." I do agree with my brother on the point that the "good guy is really the bad guy" thing has been overdone. In that aspect, I'll give Insomnia a merit point.
About the dreams thing... it was kinda funny because I dreamt last night that I got my SAT results back, and I scored a 1990... don't ask me how... I just did. I didn't even question that it was above a 1600... I guess it was out of 2000. Anyway, my Verbal was a 990 and my Math was a 1000... that I do remember. I got a call from the head of the SAT board of directors or something... he told me the good news. Anyway, the point being... at that moment in the dream, I had to stop and think about it if that was really true... had I really scored that high, or was I only dreaming... after a couple minutes of thinking... I concluded that I was not dreaming, and that that high score would get me into Harvard. Anyway, I believed that it was really true! I even asked myself if I was only dreaming! But I told myself no! How strange is that?! So, when I'm dreaming (at least for me, if not for everyone), I actually do believe that I exist in that world. I'll end this discussion now.
I'm trying to put more things on my site... go back in a little bit to find more current Mock Trial pics, Girl Scout pics, and Lunch Bunch pics. I need to find a way to put a comments feature on this blog. On top of all this, I still have my room to clean, The Iliad to read, my scrapbook to finish, and my dorm shopping to do. Oh yeah, and ROP and Calculus.
Another thing I thought of just now, as the fireworks ended a little while ago... Fourth of July and all its stereotypical fireworks... it doesn't mean much to me anymore (the fireworks, I mean)... Disneyland does it every day in the summer! I see it every time I drive home from Calculus. I guess it is kinda magical to see the sky light up as if a blitzkrieg war was going on right above us... but too much of a good thing makes us spoiled. I love the Disneyland fireworks... and if the music soared over all of Anaheim, the show would be just that much more spectacular. Happy Fourth of July.

Hey, if you try going to Beazzer, my homepage, and you get:
Sorry, this site is temporarily unavailable! The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer. Visit our help area for more information. Access to this site will be restored within an hour. Please try again later...
Please don't get frustrated. I have spent too much time and too much memory to fix up the site... it should be up in an hour or so. I'm going to leave it alone for awhile, so people can view it. If I keep toying with it, it'll just keep on making my site unavailable.

Hmm... there was an entire section in my calendar book about dreams... Dreams are great. It's entertainment while you sleep. I can't remember my dreams most of the time, but while I'm dreaming, I know it's a good dream... and I don't know how, but I guess in my dreams, I believe that that dream world really is reality... does this make any sense? And have you ever thought about the other people in dreams? Are they dreaming about the same place at the same time? When you look into their eyes, do they look back?
Last night, I had a dream about "the smallest city in the world." I don't remember the name of the city, nor do I remember much anything else... I just remember buying a turtle necklace for my sister... price? $110... I remember that. The guy who sold it to me had a half indoor-half outdoor shop... it was a really woody place... like a log cabin. He had his son with him. They really did look like lumberjacks. Anyway, I remember so many details about the necklace... made of gold, looked like the Hawaiian turtle designs you'd find in Waikiki. There was a single crystal-type stone on it; probably not a real diamond... or maybe. I don't know. But I don't remember the people I was with... I don't remember the name of the town, and I don't remember how I got there. So many holes, but I bet if you asked me in the dream, I would have known.
So, what's the point here? Wouldn't it be cool to live two lives, one in real time, and one in sleep? Maybe we do, and we just don't know it because we are too caught up in this life.
Lately, I've had lots of dreams about school... with a lot of the people from Loara I know... We're sitting in the classroom for no particular reason... I don't know why. I had a nightmare about getting IB scores back and getting a 3 on my Biology test, which is very possible. I dreamt that I didn't pass. I think that's why I wanted to go on the trip this weekend... but I have decided to pass on it so I can stay home with my family. My dad is doing better, but all the medication is really knocking him out.
Anyway, I have so much work to do for this summer, I wonder at times why I spend so much of my time online. I guess it's just the thing to do nowadays.

I just spent an entire morning on my homepage. A great refresher for the html coding. Check it out... I even redid the title banners on each and every page. Hopefully, there aren't any broken links or anything. I made some of the pictures more viewer-friendly by cutting down the pixel-by-pixel size. Hope you like it.

If you haven't driven all the way East on Katella (which turns to Villa Park, then to Santiago Canyon Road), try it someday... the ride back is rather fun.
I've actually taken quite a bit of time the last couple of nights to update my old site. It's looking a lot better now, but it still needs improvement. Beazzer, the homepage of Beverly. (It used to be called "Beverly's Beaverly Homepage," but I figured that all good things must eventually evolve into other good things... something like that). And while you're at it, would you sign my guestbook, PLEASE!?! It's getting rather lonely... the last person who signed did so in the summer of 2001... when I actually updated it often.
I need some sleep. I've been running all over town today, running errands for my parents. I went grocery shopping (at two places!), I put in an order at the pharmacy, I bought a pill container, I bought some button shirts for my dad (and a nice red sparkly shirt for myself), etc. etc. etc.
Speaking of pharmacy... the pharmacist guy was pretty cute. And not only that, he remembered me when I went to pick up the order... He saw me at a distance, and went to the back to get my order before I even reached the counter. How cute is that?! Then, he asked to see some ID... like you need ID to pick up a prescription! And I turned in the orders for them, too... why do I need ID? So he could find out my name? So he could get my address? I don't know... but he was a cutie! :)
Should do work now. Need sleep.

My dad's coming home from the hospital today. I'm going back there now. Just stopped by home to drop off all the flowers and balloons.
