Music was not meant to be recorded. Hounds of Spring sounds MUCH better in person than on tape. I still want the meno mosso part played at my wedding. Pachelbel's Canon in D is overplayed. I would like Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral, but the story behind it would not be a good kickoff to a marriage!

We made a cake today for Katia's goodbye party (well, not really a party until we baked the cake). I like peanut butter frosting. Bananas on pizza... not that bad when the bananas are still cold... when they get warm from the pizza heat, not so good... maybe I should try frying them first?

A song for goodbye...
Say when, will we ever meet again?
Say when, will we ever meet again?
Say when, will we ever meet again?
Say when, my friend, say when.
Say where, and I'll meet you right there.
Say where, and I'll meet you right there.
Say where, and I'll meet you right there.
Say where, my friend, say where.
Say why, do we have to say goodbye?
Say why, do we have to say goodbye?
Say why, do we have to say goodbye?
Say why, my friend, say why.
Say when, will we ever meet again?
Say where, and I'll meet you right there.
Say why, do we have to say goodbye?
Say when, say where, say why.

Goodbye Berkeley people... see you at Christmas.

Coldstone Creamery is GREAT! Everyone must go try their ice cream! It's great! You pick your base flavor, then add all sorts of things (whatever you want), and they chop it all up, and mix it up on a slab of cold stone (hence the name). Yeah, so it's like $4 or $5 for a cup of ice cream... who cares?! It's great ice cream! :)

I like the beach. I also like hiking (well, maybe not the real-type of hiking... more like the watered down version for tourists). We had fun today... Yeah, the part where we just hung out at my house got boring for a while, but at least it was air conditioned! :) Guys are normal when they're alone... but put them together, and you have a bunch of crazy people who sing loudly in the car, who jump into the ocean, and who drive you crazy! ...And what's worse is that when I'm gone, I'll miss it terribly.

Steph and Ash still haven't signed each other's yearbooks... maybe this just proves that good friends will remember each other even though there are not tangible things to capture the moments? Of all the pictures I've taken this summer, not one of them is with Melissa... and of all the yearbooks I've signed, the one that I never finished was Kunal's. Weird, eh?

That's where he's from! John Corbett is Lars from Serendipity (Which, by the way, was a HORRIBLE movie).

I saw two movies today. Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Let me just say now that the ride at Disneyland must be much scarier after having seen the movie... but all in all, good movie... better than the Raiders of the Lost Ark. As for My Big Fat Greek Wedding, HILARIOUS! You all have to go see this movie! Just the part about the Windex... it's funny all by itself! Buca di Beppo is great. We went there for Katia's goodbye party. Their garlic mashed potatoes kick butt! :)

I read most all of today. The Iliad isn't that bad of a book. It is very descriptive, and it is masterfully written in dactylic hexameter, but there are just too many names and too many people being killed... it's hard to keep track of everything! Perhaps I should take a break from Homer to read something more enjoyable. Perhaps The God of Small Things? I need a break!

I finished my Gold Award project! I'm so excited! I heard that Janelle also finished hers. I assume that Steph did, too. In May, Horizons is going to kick butt at the banquet! :)

Key lime pie tastes pretty good. I went to Marie Callender's to buy a pie today. The guy in front of me ordered a key lime pie. There was only one left. I tried to order one next. I was told that there were none left. Then, the guy in front of me said something to me that I'll never forget... something that applies to more that just this... "It's just a pie." Just like that... he let a complete stranger have the pie that he was about to buy... just because it was just a pie. It's the trifles that we often bicker about day to day, but in the end it just doesn't matter.

Tom has a blog now! The 499 Miles In Between. Yay me! I'm spreading the Blogger word. One of these days, we'll all have a laugh about how we were a part of the Blogger age.

I finished making my little address box. I still need to read The Iliad... but I'd rather have fun during my last two weeks in Anaheim. Grrr... that's opportunity cost for ya.
