Yessirree Bob, I'm still an ESTJ. I think I may be an ENTJ at times (which was my score four years ago), but ESTJ pretty much is me.

I gave my very first Reed Reactor Tour today! Stephen Frantz, our director of operations, sat in on my tour; he only had to correct one minor point. Yay me!
Just got back from Portland Center Stage, where we saw True West, a play about a role reversal between two brothers. Good play in general; pretty good acting (though overdone at times). Afterward, we went out for $8 dessert at Southpark (a gourmet seafood restaurant) on Salmon Street downtown... it's the building with the fish jumping through the bricks... I'll see what I can do about getting a picture.

I'm giving a Nuclear Reactor Tour today... gee, I hope they only ask questions that I can answer. If I can't, hopefully my handy dandy manual will answer it for me.
Hum reading and no sleep make Beverly go crazy.

Up late again reading Thucydides. Wow, this is a great book. Everyone should read it. (Maybe not at 3:30 am, but read it at some time in the day when your brain can function.)
Apparently I'm supposed to memorize all the Tech Specs for the Reactor by Monday. Yikes! Better get started! I also have a Humanities paper due Monday, and I have the Gray Fund trip tomorrow night... and Kids for Kids Saturday morning!!! ... and Oktoberfest at the German house is Saturday Night (sausages and root beer, apparently)... AAAAaaaAAA!!!
So, tomorrow night is Arts night at Commons... I guess there'll be free fondue and free ice cream. Yay! Then, the Gray Fund trip to Portland Center Stage to see True West. Anyone heard of it?
I still haven't dealt with the Jesse issue yet. I think avoiding him is driving me nuts, though... Aaaaa!!!
It's darn tootin' late! I should probably get to sleep if I want to wake up in time for 8:00 work tomorrow morning.
Last thing: there are more pictures at my website: http://www.reed.edu/~laub. I added Gray Fund pictures and a picture of Forrest. Included in the Gray Fund pics are pictures of Jesse. Sign my guestbook! Yay! Thanks. <3, me.

I've been reading Thucydides for the past three hours. Interesting book: The History of the Peloponnesian War. The speeches are fantastic! It's like mock trial all over again! It's hard to decide which argument to agree with... all sides seem equally appealing -- should they join with Athens or with Sparta? ...Should they kill all the men of Mytilene or let them go free? Etcetera.
I went to the Midnight Startup for the Reactor, but the guy with the key didn't show up, so we didn't start up the Reactor. ...On the plus side, I do get to give a tour of the Reactor this Friday for Parents Weekend.
Aaaa!!! Our eMac computer crashed today during Physics lab... that means all the data we collected from ramming two carts with force sensors on them (and the two motion sensors there, too) all DISAPPEARED! That meant restarting, reformatting, recalibrating, etc. etc. etc. And it happened not once, but TWICE! Darn Mac. We have to go back tomorrow to finish the lab... again.
I need major sleep.

I got my "academic progress update" today... (this is what we have in place of grades)... basically, are ya gettin' above or below a C? Above = satisfactory, below = unsatisfactory. Yay! I have all satisfactories! Woo woo! :)
Forrest (the sexiest man in my dorm) was curious as to why I didn't write anything about him, so I'm writing something about him now. Forrest is cool because he tucked me in last night, when I was planning to stay up all night studying... Yay sleep! Aside from his stealing my Catch-22 book, he's a nice guy.

Just got back from the Harvest Ball (Halloween Dance). Here is a sampling of the costumes out there: Waldo (from Where's Waldo), lots of drag queens, a die, a semicolon, lots of Greek heroes, some girls wearing nothing but electrical tape and liquid latex, and some familiar traditional characters like scary monsters and aliens. My personal fave was the semicolon... what a Reedie! Well, off to the pasta party in the kitchen.
