This, I think, has been the roughest week yet at Reed. I spent Monday running around campus, going from Bio Outreach to Orchestra to Reactor. Tuesday, after an extended lab and two hours of choir, I taught the Alchemy experiment at an elementary school science fair. On Wednesday, I went to my Leadership Committee meeting, then to Ballroom, then to Reactor. Thursday, I spent all day doing Physics, then my paper conference. Friday today, we went to the Chinese Gardens and out for Chinese food; I just got back from the piano recital right now. Oh my God, it has been a trying week. Seneca tells us that God (if he exists) does this to try and test good people. I shall just have to work hard and get pass the tough times. I still have a ton of work left to do.

I am having a horrible time with Humanities. I wish that Tacitus were more interesting to read. Oh well. Moving on to the next piece...

We're planning a meet and greet for Grobanites in Oregon. This is going to be totally fun!

I just got back from Kathi's house about an hour or so ago. I had a BLAST at the Phone Call Party. Kathi is such a gracious hostess. She has a giant house! We spent the night in her guest house. Wow. There's a great view of the lake (that is her backyard) from the guest house. Wow.

There were about 20 or so of us there. We each got to talk about 3 minutes. Josh called 15 minutes early... but he also ended up talking to us for 50 minutes instead of 30. We sang happy birthday to Josh. After which he did his cute "Y'oWWWW!" thing. He said that it was well sung (as opposed to all the "crappy" renditions of happy birthday out there). Pam asked about the color of the Josh's porsche, and after Josh answered, I chimed in with a, "Can you take us with you?" And Josh replied that he'd post a picture of it on the website.

Okay, so I shall recap what my conversation was about with Josh:

First, I introduced myself. Then, I went on to ask him if he remembered talking with me on the phone in January (when he was at Downtown Disney). His affirmative response seemed rather negative... especially because my sister practically "tackled" his Disney Cast Member to get him on the phone with me. Anyway, I was happy that he remembered.

I asked him what theme park he was at (he told us earlier that he was at a theme park). At that point, he revealed that he was at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Woo hoo! (Gale, Nancy, (Mary), and I were planning on flying down to LA to see Josh at Magic Mountain... but that didn't work out).

Next, I asked him how many licks it takes to get to the center of the tootsie pop (as a funny question... hoping to get him to do a voice impression of Mr. Owl... oh well, he didn't do it). Instead, he jokingly asked if we had another 10 minutes. I told him that we had forever if he wanted to stay on the phone with us long enough!

Then, I asked about him playing the flute. He doesn't play the flute. I read it somewhere in another thread that he did... but apparently he doesn't. I told him about the flute choir idea, and he seemed interested. He even said he'd be in the front row to see us perform! I have witnesses to vouch for me!

Next, I asked about him being a Mac person or a PC person. He said that "now [he's] a Mac person." This, I think, implies that he wasn't one before.

I closed with a quick note about how I love his voice. I don't remember much about the end of my conversation with him... I just knew that I didn't want to take up everyone's time, so I ended it before others had to pull me away from the Star Trek phone!

I forgot to ask about The Simpsons when I was on, so Jill asked him for me. Josh says that no one has contacted him about The Simpsons... he thinks someone is pulling our legs. That makes me sad. I also meant to ask him about coming to Portland for our Meet and Greet, touring in Portland, and perhaps about his current living arrangement (has he moved out yet?!), but alas, I forgot.

Here are pictures from the event at Kathi's house. Kelly posted these last night. What a great girl!

Okay, I'd better do my homework!
