wJuly 12, 2003 I thought I'd never go to a baseball game without a ticket. ...but I did yesterday... Byron and Ben wanted to go to the Angels vs. Twins. They were sold out. :( So, we ended up going to Downtown Disney. Then, we took a spin through the Mickey and Friends parking structure (yep, for free!), then we ate dinner at Ali Baba's (an Arabic restaurant). Fun times, and it only cost the price of the dinner. posted by Beverly at 2:53 PM wJuly 10, 2003 I went to Disneyland yesterday with John. That was pretty fun. I definitely like Disneyland better without the "having to make the most of every second" type of mentality. Yay! I now know how the talking faces in the Haunted Mansion work! Oh yeah, and Disneyland ice cream is the best -- especially the Fantasia flavor. Today, Thursday of Summer Smiles Science Camp. We learned about plants and painted with chocolate pudding. The little kids are cute, but they don't retain a lot of information, and they can't cut, color, or write fast. Next week, I teach the 10-13 year olds in Crime Lab 101. Sounds fun! We do pH and shoe impressions, starch tests, and, at the end, we solve a mystery murder. posted by Beverly at 4:37 PM
